Where to go on Yoville

At the moment this is the most current map of Yoville. It shows you all the places you can visit during gameplay.

As you can tell some of the places are clearly named & will be pretty self explanatory. But all the same lets go through each one & explain what they are all about.

In this picture I have labeled each place so everyone knows whats what. First off the ranks we have the Factory. Of course as you may know from the previous post this where you come to earn more coins. You can earn coins every 6 hours just by visiting the Factory although the creators of the game are trialling out some more interactive ideas for the factory. Personally I like the way it is now cause I use it more for the social sides of things & couldnt be stuffed mucking around. But Im sure there will be some that may enjoy a change of pace in regards to the Factory.

Next place on the map not far from the Factory is the Apartments. Out the front of the Apartments seems to be the most popular hang out for those who use the game on a more social level. Many people meet out the front to get maxed, gift each other or socialize. Of course you may also enter into the Apartments & visit all of your fellow Yoville buddy's on your list.

When you get some coins up you may want to purchase a property. On the map you will notice that there is a realtor you may visit where you can preview all the different homes they have for sale. Some you can purchase with coins & some with Yocash. At the moment the one thing that you cant do is sell your home. If you ever are approached by someone who claims they can they are attempting to scam you, so be careful. Behind the realtor is where you may see houses. If someone on your friends list has a property you can visit their home through there.

If you like a spot of fishing you can always visit the Beach. Not the most popular of hang outs on the game but a good place to go if you want to play a game within the game. There is even a bait shop on the Beach to purchase more so you can catch the marlin's in the fishing game. You do get free bait each time you play it anyway so if your a bit tight with the coins, dont worry, you can still catch the fish without the bait you just have to have good timing. If you purchase some swimmers you can also walk out on the water at the Beach. So if your not into the fishing you can run around on the Beach.

Now the Pet Store is pretty self explanatory. You can purchase a Pet of course & you have a few options in regarding what type of Pet you want to own. The most popular of course being either a dog or cat but visit the store to see their other alternatives. Again some you can buy with coins & some with Yocash.

Gifts & Flowers is a quaint little store where you can purchase a variety of things. You can get flowers, chocolates, mystery gifts & game items. There are things in here you can use to create your own little games within the game if your feeling creative, like the spinner wheel or the die flipper.

Yo depot is like an interior decorating shop. On the map I have labelled it as interior decorations but it covers outdoor products as well. You can purchase wallpapers, floors, yard & garden decorations & lots more. Here is where you can do up the inside to match your natural flair for decorating.

Clothing Store also known in the game as the Fashion store. Change the appearance of your character by shopping for new clothes. Here you may grab some shirts, pants, shoes etc. Watch out for new items as they normally don't last forever & after a while become very popular with people in the game.

Sky Nightclub is as it says, a nightclub. There isn't much to it at this stage except if you want to buy a drink for your character. One of the places on Yoville that isn't used much at all but could potentially be a great hang out. If you ever want to chat though to a group of people & have the space to do it, the Sky Nightclub would be the ideal place to go to.

Gym Equipment is just a store that sells gym equipment. Some good gym products in here for decorating your room. If your planning on having a gym for your character then this is the place to go.

Coffee Shop is another place not used much but has the potential to become a popular hang out. Of course you can always purchase food & drinks from here to increase your energy, but why not take some people with you. If you want to escape the crowds hang out at the coffee shop.

Vinny's Diner or as Ive labeled it on the map the Diner is another place to refuel your character. The Diner is sometimes a popular place to go when people want to meet. Great layout in the Diner & it can fit a few people in it as well.

The Raceway is another game within the game where you can race against other people on your buddy list. You cant race against others when they are online you just race against their offline character. But if you win the race you can earn 10 coins for each win. Another way for you to earn coins on Yoville.

Another place to attempt to earn more coins & maybe even double your coins is by going to the Casino. You don't earn coins here but you may use what coins you have to have a go at doubling your coins or at least earning some back. Something for the gambler at heart.

At the Bank you can use your coins to buy more crew or exchange your Yocash for coins. You cant use the bank to save your coins though but who knows, they may add this as a feature eventually.

If you want some music in your apartment then visit the Music Store. All items at this point can only be purchased with Yocash. But they do have quite a variety of genres to suit everyone. They only have 2 music players at this point as well but again another place to look out for in case of changes.

Thats about it for where to go on Yoville for this post but stay tuned as I will keep all the noobs & even experienced players updated on whats going on?

Earning Coins on Yoville

If your a first timer on Yoville you will find many things to do & see. At first you start by creating your character & picking clothes & then finally entering the world of Yoville. Many have alot of questions when first getting started though. What is there to do on Yoville? How do I get more coins? Where do I go to get new clothes? The list goes on & on & what I want to do is explain things real simple to you.

First up lets get into the money sides of things. When you start most of the time you are given 5 Yo Cash & 500 coins to get started. Yo Cash & coins are the currency on Yoville as you would of most likely suspected. Some items on Yoville you will need Yocash to pay with & most other items you will nedd coins. You can purchase many things in the game such as, furniture for your apartment, clothing, food, wall & floor coverings, houses & much much more. You may even take a chance at the slot machine at the casino to win more coins for yourself. You will also notice at the top of the page there is a heading which says "Show Map". When you click on this it will show you all of Yoville. There will be a factory where you go to work & earn more coins. Every 6 hours you can log in & get more coins for your character. You dont have to log in every 6 hours though unless you end up becoming addicted like so many others. But you wont be able to collect more coins until 6 hours has passed since you were previously there. But this is only one way to get coins. Lets move on to the next way.

Another way to get coins is by visiting other people on your friends list. I think myspace & facebook may differ in this department as I have heard conflicting stories. Since I use facebook I can only tell you how it is on there. If you have a friend on your facebook profile & they play Yoville they can be added to your buddy list on the game. When you log on there is what we Yoville addicts call a "coin run". A coin run is where you visit all the people on your list, visit them in there apartment & what will happen is it will give you some options of what you want to do with their character. You can dance, kiss, fight, gift, joke or send message. We have found that sending a message gives you the most coins out of the six. So what we Yoville addicts do is send a message to our friend with the words "coin run". You send the message & you earn anywhere between 15 - 20 coins. By doing this Yoville will allow you to make a maximum of 400 coins. Once you have reached 400 you will no longer be able to continue making coins through a "coin run".

You will also find that alot of fellow Yoville characters will asked to be "maxed". They may also write max 4 max or m4m. What this means is that you click on their character & a list of options will come up. One of the options will be "play a game". What you do is start a game of Tic Tac Toe or Rock Paper Scissors. You deliberately lose the game & help them earn 10 coins each time they win. Majority of the time other people will help do the same for you as well & if not there is always someone who will. Through playing the games you can win a maximum of 200 coins before it will notify you that you are maxed for the day & then will need to wait 24 hours before being able to earn more coins via playing games.

You also have the option in the game of selling items. This can be a bit daunting for some as it is like a whole other world when it comes to selling & buying. But lets stick with the basics for now. If you were to purchase an item & then find you no longer want it you may click on the headin "Inventory" find the item, click on it & sell it earning you coins. Some items are free items & will only be removed from your inventory earning you zero coins from it. But you may also trade items with other players which is another option to earning more coins. Of course you will both need to agree on a price before going through with the transaction. As a general rule if you are buying through a trade do not put any coins upfront until you see the item in the box first. You will know what I mean when you start trading. If they do not place the item in the box then just wait until they do. If they ask you to put coins in first, politely refuse & tell them you want to see the item in the box before you enter the amount in coins. If your a seller make sure you place the item in the box first so they can see what they are buying, then wait for them to place the coins in. This is just a common courtesy as even in real life you dont buy something unless you see it is right in front of you.

You can also earn coins by going fishing & moto racing. Each time you win you collect 10 coins. This doesnt sound like much but it all adds up in the end. You also get the opportunity to fish & race against others who are on your buddy list. Of course not at the same time unfortunately, but is still good for a bit of fun.

These are just some of the ways you can earn coins when getting started on Yoville & I hope it has been easy to understand for you. I will keep ya posted on more stuff you can do on this popular online game. Stay tuned.
